Coachella is one of those events that some look forward to, and others make fun of. Regardless of where you fall on that spectrum, there is one thing we can agree on…there is a certain anatomy of a Coachella attendee. Let’s break it down.
Anatomy of a Coachella Attendee
The first thing you may notice about many Coachella attendees is on what is going on IN their heads, but ON them.
As you will see, many wear big “hipster” hats (technically called wide brimmed hats). Both guys and gals alike wear these to hide their heads from the sun, and to unite in a giant form of Coachella-ness!
Feeling blue? You don’t have to keep that on the inside at Coachella. Instead, show it in your hair like you just don’t care!
(Perhaps I’m generalizing from the thousands of images on Google I saw, but this is definitely a trend to some degree.)
If in the Golden State, it’s only natural to wear a set of Ray Bans or promotional sunglasses with the Coachella logo on them.
Bandanas or Jewelry
The most exciting thing about festivals like Coachella is that it gives the perfect opportunity to go big!
And when attendees go big, they do so with their accessories! From custom bandanas of their favorite bands, to flashy bohemian jewelry, there is no shortage of accessories among these event goers.
Tank Tops or Crop Tops
How else can you spot an event attendee? By the shirts they wear, of course! And not just any shirt – it is either a tank top or crop top.
Can you blame them though? After all, with thousands of people in attendance, as well as the intense heat, it’s probably the only shirt that makes sense!
Finally, what you will notice about an attendee, is the shorts! For guys, it’s long shorts and the ladies wear short skirts. Maybe it’s rebellion, or perhaps it’s practicality.
Ultimately, what I believe it comes to is looking like what an event goer is supposed to look like…care free!
