How is it already August? Seriously, I ask myself all of the time, “where does the time go?” Before we know it fall will be here, and all of those pretty fall weddings will be happening like clock-work.
If you are planning a fall wedding, now is the time to start checking things off your never ending to do list. If you have ever planned a wedding, then you know how important it is to finalize things ahead of time. The more you can do early on, the less you have to worry about the closer it gets to your wedding date.
I have talked before about the importance of wedding favors. Whether you do one thing or several, it is such a nice gesture to have something for your guests to take home with them. Wedding favors are customizable to the season. For instance, you wouldn’t choose something like a cooler tote for a winter wedding nor would you go with a coffee mug for a July nuptials. A wedding favor is another way for you to get creative and personalize your special day.
My brother and sister-in-law got married in the Fall 2010. They had a beautiful barn wedding in Leiper’s Fork, TN. When deciding on the perfect wedding favor, they put a lot of thought into the season. They knew it would most likely be a cool night, and planned on serving hot chocolate and coffee with their wedding cake. They decided that instead of using to-go cups that would just get thrown away, they would give all of the guests a personalized coffee mug. They wanted to display them at the coffee bar, and when guests would get their hot beverage it would be given to them in one of their custom mugs.
When it comes to choosing the perfect mug, their are actually several options. Coffee mugs come in a wide range of sizes, colors, and shapes enabling you to pick something perfect for your wedding, event, or party. They really just wanted something simple that went with their decor. They decided to go with a simple, brown mug that was somewhat slim and curvy. Then came time to decide what imprint to go with. Again, they wanted to choose something that was classy with a clean design. My sister-in-law came up with a few love quotes that she thought would be perfect! On one side of the mug was one of the love quotes and on the other side were their monogram.
Wedding favors don’t have to be doom and gloom. You can find something that is reasonable for your budget, and sometimes a simple monogram or quote is all you need to make it the perfect gift back to your guests for your wedding day.
