Although it is not officially summer, school is out (or almost over) in most parts of the country, and the weather is really starting to warm up. The closeness of summer makes me excited for several different activities. This year I have decided to make a bucket list of things I want to do these next few months. Most of my activities are outdoor activities which means I need to have a couple of products close by. Below I have listed a few of my favorite outdoor promotional products to have ready for fun as the summer kicks off.

Here in Franklin, TN, we are experiencing some very cold weather. Last year we had a very mild winter (along with the rest of the country), and it seems as if this year is the exact opposite. We have been under a freeze warning the past few days, and the forecast seems to only be getting colder. I don’t mind really, I kind of actually enjoy the weather (as long as I am indoors of course.)Below are a few of my favorite promotional products you can use to brave these winter months…

Since we are experiencing ice and freezing rain, the first thing I need is a good promotional ice scraper. I am a wuss about cold weather so when the first sign of winter hits I am pulling out my big winter coats, gloves, scarves and preparing for blizzards– even though in reality we probably won’t ever get more than a couple of inches of snow in Tennessee. But from a business perspective, as the seasons change, companies should take advantage of the new opportunities they have to promote their brand name!

Most companies think along the lines of office products when considering promotional items: pens, notepads, tape measurers, etc. But why not give your customers something they can use to help them survive the brutal cold weather WHILE showcasing your brand? Dressing up your Customized Tumbler: Easter Style

Is it really April? Oh how fast a year seems to fly by. I feel like it was just Christmas, and we are already four months into the now semi-new year. I don’t know about you, but I am always looking forward to the next holiday because it gives me a reason to brainstorm crafty things to make up.

My Easter themed idea was to fill one of my favorite promotional acrylic tumblers with Easter candy. Simple, right? It’s not an overly creative idea, but I did like how it turned out. When I was a kid the Easter Bunny used to just throw handfuls of candy in my basket… no big deal, I would eat everything that day anyway. I do, however, think this is a great idea because it’s essentially a gift inside a gift! I also think these are great gifts for customers and colleagues for this time of year! You could also attach a tag around the straw for an added touch!

Spring Break 2012: Beach Style | Great Beach Giveaway Ideas

Two weeks ago, we got to relive our school days and celebrate spring break at the beach with my brothers in high school and college. While we were there, I did some shopping and came across some neat promotional products I felt were worth sharing. Sometimes all it takes to love a product is to have the right imprint.

1. I love the short, stubby 12 oz. Tritan double wall tumbler. It also comes with an option lid and straw option. Also, it is available in 16 oz. It keeps your cold drinks cooler and your hot drinks hotter!

2. I am also a huge fan of these imprinted floating keychains.What a great way to keep your brand afloat! Floating keychains are great for the beach, pool, lake, pond (fishing), etc.

3. I’ve said it before, and I will say it again… the ceramic diner mug is still one of my all time favorite products. It looks amazing with a simple, crisp logo. It makes drinking your morning cup of coffee at the beach that much sweeter (assuming you take yours with cream + sugar.)

4. Lastly, a stainless steel travel mug is a must at the beach. Whether you are driving around, walking to the beach, or riding a bike you need something portable to put your favorite drink in while you are on the go.

spring has sprung.

Well… it is official people. Spring has arrived, and seems to be in full force. Here in Nashville we are having summer like weather in March… what?? We’ve had multiple days in the 80s which is so unusual for this time of year, but believe me I am not complaining (though I probably will be in a couple of months.) I am so ready for spring and all the season has to offer.

Here is a list of what Spring time means to me…

Pretty flowers, Laying out at the beach with all of my favorite beach products at arm’s reach (tote bag, towel, magazine, water bottle, sunscreen, frisbee, lip balm, iPod, sunglasses, book, etc.), popsicles and other fun sweet treats, bicycle rides with my favorite pup, all of the season’s finest fruits and veggies, and a grassy park with a pretty purple wall to set up a picnic.

Oh how the time flies! I know I will blink my eyes, and we will be in full fledge summer time! Happy Spring Folks!

Warm, Fuzzy & Cozy | A Few of My Favorite Things

We’re all familiar with that catchy classical song in the Sound of Music when Maria sings about her love for things such as ‘raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens’. These are the things she selects to fill her mind with when times are bad.

I grew up in hot and sunny Arizona, and so winter in the south is a bit more chilling than what I am used to. I’m the person that crosses my fingers every year and hopes that the Groundhog does not see his shadow. No doubt that Maria and I have different views on what are considered to be ‘bad times’.

Over the years I have learned the fine art of layering clothing and the importance of warming up your car 20 minutes before you leave the house. I have also discovered ‘a few of my favorite things’, which make the cold weather a bit more tolerable.

#1. My Travel Mug full of hot coffee that makes me warm, I rarely leave home without it.

#2. Fleece Glove, Hat and Scarf Set. I love the feel of the fuzzy fleece and how easily everything packs into the drawstring pouch.

#3. A Luxury Plush Blanket – this blanket is amazingly cozy and cuddly soft! I know, you probably thought I would have put down a Snuggle Me Blanket and honestly if I owned one I might be typing a different story.

“A Snowball Fight Breaks Out… And Winter has finally begun”

Today is officially the first day of winter! Here in Tennessee it has felt like winter off and on for a while now. In the past week we have had a snow shower followed by temperatures in the 60s. Being that I have from Texas, I am bracing myself for a much colder winter than what I am accustomed to. I do, however, love this season (at least for a little while).

Winter means ice scrapers to help get myself out of the driveway safely, travel mugs to help thaw myself out while running errands, the obvious sweatshirt and jacket apparel, lip balm to keep my lips from drying out, sweatshirt blanket to keep myself warm at the office or any outdoor event I might be attending, lots of hand sanitizer to keep from getting the flu, and maybe even a pedometer to try to shed off a few holiday pounds I know I might be gaining at the moment as I eat this Christmas cookie.

Winter, to me, is a time to spend surrounded by the people that I love whether it’s at home, in a cozy coffee shop, or a weekend trip to the mountains or even to the beach. Winter is the end of an old year and the fresh start of another. It’s the start of something new whether its new beginnings, new ideas, plans or goals for a new year. It gives a chance to take a deep breath of crisp air, and enjoy the moment because before we know it the holidays will have passed and spring will be awaiting us!

Even though Christmas is still nearly two weeks away, I am already looking into the (near) future and trying to figure out my New Year’s Eve plans. Last year I (like so many people across the country) had a little New Years party. We set up a Times Square backdrop for a photo booth that was a huge hit! Naturally, everyone wore party hats, and we ate and played a few games then danced the night away into the new year! I am still finding star confetti all over my house!
